2013 Rule Changes

General/Multi-Class Rules:

1.) $100 / driver tire protest – promoter will send sample into the lab for analysis

2.) Safety vent bar mandatory – Modifieds – Super Stocks – MW Mods – Mod Fours

- 1" minimum O.D. minimum .095 thickness. Must run from top door bar to A pillar bar maximum 6" down from the halo. Left side only

3.) Door plate – Mods – Super – MW Mods – Mod Fours

- 18 gauge min. steel from top door bar to bottom door bar. Must run from back of drivers seat to 5" in front of drivers seat, can be welded or bolted to outside of door bars

 

Late Models

1.) Allow current steel head rule indefinitely

2.) Mandatory RPM chip rule. RPM chip @ 8200, dial RPM boxes are OK

3.) Test tires in spring 2013

4.) NO titanium parts other than valves & retainers

5.) Plastic Manufactured rear roof posts / sail panel

- After Market plastic manufactured molded rear roof post/ sail panel allowed, as long as it meets said classes rear roof post / sail panel dimensions

 

Modifieds

1.) Front roof post, Max 8" at bottom to 4" on top

2.) Mandatory chip rule, max RPM chip 8500, dial RPM box are OK

3.) NO titanium parts other than valves & retainers

4.) Plastic Manufactured rear roof posts / sail panel

- After Market plastic manufactured molded rear roof post/ sail panel allowed, as long as it meets said classes rear roof post / sail panel dimensions

 

Super Stocks

1.) Surge tank hose can enter into the water pump. Surge tank cannot hold more than half a gallon of coolant. Must be in engine compartment

2.) De-burring allowed on all engine block, heads, intake, machined edges only not to exceed .040 thousands

3.) Plastic Manufactured rear roof posts / sail panel

- After Market plastic manufactured molded rear roof post/ sail panel allowed, as long as it meets said classes rear roof post / sail panel dimensions

 

Midwest Mods

1.) Surge tank hose can enter into the water pump. Surge tank cannot hold more than half a gallon of coolant. Must be in engine compartment

2.) Front roof post, Max 8" at bottom to 4" on top

3.) De-burring allowed on all engine blocks, heads, intake, machined edges only not to exceed .040 thousands

4.) Spec after marked head, E.Q. Engine Quest part # E.Q.-CH3501 167cc intake runner's 76cc combustion chambers. 1.94 intake valves and 1.50 exhaust. Valves sized cannot be changed. Can not be angle milled

5.) Plastic Manufactured rear roof posts / sail panel

- After Market plastic manufactured molded rear roof post/ sail panel allowed, as long as it meets said classes rear roof post / sail panel dimensions

6.) Chrysler Engines are allowed to run the EQuest Head # EQ-CH 318B with the following valve size intake valve. 1.920" exhaust valve 1.624" or intake valve 1.94" exhaust valve 1.60". These are the only valve size allowed on this head. No angle milling.

 

Street Stocks

1.) Surge tank hose can enter into the water pump. Surge tank cannot hold more than half a gallon of coolant. Must be in engine compartment

2.) De-burring allowed on all engine blocks, heads, intake, machined edges only not to exceed .040 thousands

3.) Optional 9.5 to 1 compression motor. Same as MWM 350 engine. E.Q. head allowed on this motor only

4.) If fuel cell is at all below frame, you must have a rear bumper brace/fuel cell guard to be no more than 12" off the ground and must run from frame rail to frame rail

5.) Chrysler Engines are allowed to run the EQuest Head # EQ-CH 318B with the following valve size intake valve. 1.920" exhaust valve 1.624" or intake valve 1.94" exhaust valve 1.60". These are the only valve size allowed on this head. No angle milling.

- Street Stock can run these heads on the 9.5 to 1 compression motor, same as MidWest Modified 360 engine, EQ Heads allowed on this motor only.

 

Mod – 4

1.) Surge tank hose can enter into the water pump. Surge tank cannot hold more than half a gallon of coolant. Must be in engine compartment

2.) No light weight wrist pins

3.) Body rules being talked about by committee

4.) Piston rule will be researched and adopted
