ABERDEEN,SD (June 5)-WISSOTA Promoters Association is announcing a “Revised Update” on the tire rules for Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds and Street Stocks.

After receiving input from drivers, dealers and promoters the past two days, the Board of Directors of WISSOTA and Hoosier Tire has decided to revise the tire policy to the following:

Beginning June 27, 2013, all WISSOTA Modifieds and WISSOTA Super Stocks will be required to run the new 35-R across the rear of the car.  The current 35 will be required across the front of every modified and super stock.

A warranty program for damaged tires and an exchange program for unused 35 tires will be announced in a separate press release from Hoosier Tire.  Dead line dates, procedures and other pertinent information will be included in the release.

Beginning July 11, 2013, WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds and WISSOTA Street Stocks will have the option of running the 35-R on the left rear or the right rear of the car.  The 35-R is not mandatory for the Midwest Modified or the Street Stock; it is an option only tire for the rear of the car.  The current 35 tire will be allowed on the front and/or the rear of the Midwest Modifieds and Street Stocks.

Again, a warranty program for damaged tires and an exchange program for unused 35 tires will be announced in a separate press release from Hoosier Tire.

WISSOTA appreciates everyone’s patience, understanding and cooperation as we continue to work through this situation.

Thank you.
