2014 Blaine Brothers Challenge Series Dates

ST. CLOUD, MN (Feb. 21) – WISSOTA Auto Racing is excited to announce the release of the 2014 schedule for the Blaine Brothers Challenge Series for WISSOTA Late Models.

The 16-year-old series will start in familiar territory – at Dakota State Fair Speedway in Huron, SD on May 10, and rounds out theopening weekend on May 11 at Casino Speedway in Watertown, SD.

The Blaine Brothers Challenge Series presents its first full weekend of racing June 6-8, with stops at Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen, SD on Friday; Dakota State Fair Speedway on Saturday; and Casino Speedway on Sunday. The spotlight of the weekend will shine on Saturday night’s show at Dakota State Fair Speedway, which will pay a whopping $6400 to the winner, and $640 to start.

As the weather in July turns stifling, the competition ramps up with a near two-week trip to western WISSOTA country. It all starts in Mandan, ND with two complete shows at Dacotah Speedway on July 25 and 26; the Challenge Series will  be part of the North Dakota Governor’s Cup. The rain date is set for July 27.

Then on July 28, the Challenge Series will make a visit for the first time to Esteven Motor Speedway in Estevan, Sask. The track is a 3/8-mile high banked track that was built in 1999.

Following two days for travel and sightseeing, the next stop for the touring drivers will be Great Falls, MT and Electric City Speedway on July 31. It’s the beginning of a three-day stint in the great state of Montana. The following evening, August 1, drivers will wheel around Gallatin Speedway in Bozeman, MT before they head to BMP Speedway in Billings, MT on August 2.

The Challenge Series racers will return homeward and get right back into competition on August 7 for the series homestretch; Norman County Raceway will welcome them that evening for action on their 3/8-mile semi-banked track for the second time in the track’s history.

The Blaine Brothers Challenge Series travels east to Superior, WI for racing on August 8, where action promises to be entertaining as drivers vie for points with one race left on the schedule. That race is the following night in Ogilvie, MN at Ogilvie Raceway on August 9; the 2014 Blaine Brothers Challenge Series champion will be crowned that night when action concludes.
