WISSOTA 100 and Western 100 events for 2007
awarded to North Central & Brown County speedways

ST. CLOUD, MN (February 23) - At its Friday, February 23 meeting, the WISSOTA board of directors and several member promoters in attendance voted to award the 2007 WISSOTA 100 to North Central Speedway and the 2007 WISSOTA Western 100 to Brown County Speedway.

North Central Speedway, the 2006 WISSOTA Track of the Year, is owned by Cliff Sasker and managed by Peggy Jensen. The WISSOTA 100 will be held between September 12 and 15, 2007 at the Brainerd, MN race track. The event will feature five of WISSOTA’s six divisions, including the Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds and Street Stocks and planning for a new race format is underway for this year’s WISSOTA 100.

North Central Speedway is a banked, 1/3 mile clay track and operates on Saturday nights during the WISSOTA racing season. The track hosts four WISSOTA divisions weekly, including the Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds and Street Stocks.

Brown County Speedway, located in Aberdeen, SD, will again be the host track for the WISSOTA Western 100. The high-banked 1/3 mile track located on the Brown County Fairgrounds at Aberdeen, SD has been the site of the Western 100 the past seven years (1999-2006) and also hosted the event in 1996 and 1997.

The Western 100 will be contested between September 12 and 15, 2007 and will feature all six WISSOTA divisions including the Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Street Stocks and Mod Fours.

Brown County Speedway hosts Friday night racing programs starting around June 1 each season and its regular program includes WISSOTA Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks and Street Stocks.
