All of the region's engine and chassis builders
invited to March 17 WISSOTA tech meeting
COKATO, MN - The engine and chassis builders who provide WISSOTA's racers with their competition equipment are being invited to a special WISSOTA tech meeting being held on Saturday, March 17.
"This is something the builders from our region have asked me about time and time again," said WISSOTA board member Scott Hughes. "I have regular contact with most of the recognized and established people building race cars and engines in the WISSOTA area and I thought it would be a good idea to bring them all together to discuss our current classes, our rules, the current rule book and more."
At its most recent meeting, the rest of the WISSOTA board members agreed and immediately reserved space at the Kelly Inn in St. Cloud, MN to host the meeting. The WISSOTA board of directors and several of the regional tech advisers will also be in attendance at the meeting.
"We want all of the builders to help this organization find any technical issues that need to be addressed in our current rules and help us in our pursuit of well-balanced, effective and affordable rules for our competitors into the future," Hughes added. The six national driver committee representatives - one for each division - are also being invited to attend. They include: John Kaanta, Jason Thoennes, Ryan Aho, Rich Pavlicek, John Kallas and Matt Greseth.
"I think this will be a great opportunity for all of the builders to get together, look each other in the eye, and make recommendations that will help guide us all into the future," Hughes added.
A list of builders is currently being compiled and each individual on the list will receive a copy of the 2007 rule book along with an invitation to the meeting. Engine and chassis builders who wish to attend the meeting can contact Hughes at (715) 225-4919 to make arrangements.
