Nearly 50 tracks committed to WISSOTA
ideals and membership for the 2007 season

COKATO, MN - On the heels of the dramatic announcement that AMSOIL, Inc. recently signed on as the title sponsor of all WISSOTA auto racing starting in 2007 to help create the new AMSOIL Dirt Track Series, many of the region’s speedway promoters have expressed their continued support and dedication to the ideals of WISSOTA by sanctioning with the area’s leading and established racing organization. These promoters recognize and believe strongly in the strength of unity and enjoy working together with other race tracks for the betterment of the entire auto racing industry.

That is why WISSOTA was begun in 1981 and why it continues to be a successful, steady, member-driven organization more than 25 years later.

In WISSOTA, promoters feel honored to belong to an organization in which they have a voice, as well as the right to vote on rule changes and organizational policies annually. They recognize WISSOTA is a nonprofit organization which gives all profits to the drivers point funds every single year. WISSOTA’s member promoters understand the essential relationship between a good business, being a good neighbor and maintaining a good relationship with the competitors.

In spite of other options available to them, WISSOTA’s promoters clearly recognize the health of the industry is largely in their hands and they choose to take a leadership role in remaining strongly united. By remaining under the WISSOTA banner, they give the drivers of our region the most consistent and convenient choice to enjoy their favorite sport.

WISSOTA’s voting membership includes individuals who own or lease tracks, corporately owned facilities and club-run facilities who all share the common goal of keeping the industry strong while succeeding in their own unique business endeavors.

WISSOTA promoters are stewards of the industry and recognize that the decisions they make today will impact the sport of tomorrow. They don’t give up their long-term plans for short-term gains that hurt the industry.

They take their role seriously as “keepers of the flame” within the racing industry. The promoters who choose WISSOTA to be their organization share a passion for the sport of dirt track racing and a vision for their organization which will serve them well in the future.
