Shocks by Hammer and WISSOTA Auto Racing are pleased to announce its continued partnership and sponsorship. Established in Huron, SD, Shocks by Hammer was started by Brian Diede early in 2011 and has quickly become one of the top racing shocks businesses in the upper Midwest. With over 10 years of experience in racing that has included track championships in both the Super Stock and Late Model divisions Brian has positioned himself to provide top quality information, assistance and services to any race team.

Brian has partnered up with JRi Shocks out of Moorseville, NC, and has become a dealer for JRi Shocks. “After talking to the staff at JRi and considering their background it was a business decision that was very easy to make. I will be flying down to NC in March for training and am looking forward to running JRi shocks on my Late Model and working with the customers I have that have made the switch to JRi. They have a great product and the quality of their shock is second to none” stated Diede.

Diede purchased a brand new  Bilstein Fill Machine last year that allows him to service the Bilstein 46mm shocks (the silver ones) that are very popular on many Super Stocks, MWM’s, Mod 4’s and Modifieds. Diede not only can repair them but the Fill Machine allows him to set the gas pressure in your Bilstein shocks as well as tuning them for specific track conditions.

Along with JRi Shocks, Diede will still continue to sell and support the lines that he has sold in the past including Integra, Bilstein and QA1 shocks, but the decision to add another quality line to his business was very important. “I also continue to work on AFCO twin tube shocks and service a lot of those also. I’m very, very thankful for all of the support I have received from my customers and it doesn’t matter if you’re a national champion or a guy that just goes out to have fun. I go out of my way to make sure I treat everyone with the same respect whether you have a street stock or a late model” Diede added.

“My partnership with WISSOTA, it was a no brainer. Their history speaks for itself and to maintain the car counts they do is obviously important to my business so I wanted to give back to them for their help and support” stated Diede.

Diede gave out over $3000 worth of certificates last year at the National Banquet to existing customers and will do what he can to maintain that or increase it in the future. It’s just his way of giving back to WISSOTA and his customers. “It’s not always easy to spend advertising money but WISSOTA has a great program that I’m proud to be associated with” Diede added.

“WISSOTA is happy to continue our relationship with Shocks by Hammer,” stated Terry Voeltz, Executive Director of WISSOTA.  “I have known Brian for many years and have witnessed firsthand his successes on and off the track.”   “Brian strives for perfection in everything that he does which guarantees the racer that their shocks will be done the right way every time,” continued Voeltz.

“My main goal when I started this was to provide the best customer service in the shock business and even though I have to put my own racing program on the back burner at times, I do it for my customers and in return they have put my name out there and I appreciate that a lot” stated Diede.

“I also want to thank Lou Fegers Racing Equipment and Mike, Barb, Sara and Brian for their help and support. It’s been a very satisfying first two years and I never could have done it without the feedback and support of all of my customers and the understanding of my family” added Diede.

“With our success at the track comes the knowledge that we can pass along to our customers and with the relationships we've built within the industry we are able to keep up on the newest technology available in the market,” Diede concluded.
